If you have kids you will have stuff. Coming by car it means you won't have to cart as much paraphernalia, but if you're coming by taxi, mrt, or bus you'll have a stroller, carseat, and bag of tricks and treats to keep them happy. Traveling light helps when it comes to keeping the flow of the shoot as natural as possible, but if you have the above don't worry it won't affect the final outcome. We will work to keep it out of the shots.
Young kids don't have a very high tolerance level and need entertainment, bring along their favourite toy, their favourite snack, bubbles to blow, or their favourite book. And in my experience having a bargaining chip has never hurt - a chocolate or a promise of an ice cream after the session will get you some pretty wide smiles. If you'd like to incorporate props like balloons or umbrellas, please bring them along.
This is an easy one, it's hot, always. So be as cool and comfortable as possible. Choose breathable fabrics, lighter colours like whites, ivories, and pastels are always effective. If you prefer bolder colours keep them as plain as possible, no bold prints paired with those bold colours. If the location is in a garden like Botanics or Fort Canning please don't wear green, you will disappear into the foliage. Most importantly, please bring along that mosquito repellent!
